ABOUT THE EVENT

Everyone has heard the hype about the Internet of Things (IoT), where devices with embedded sensors can produce vast amounts of data in real time.

But the question that business executives are asking is, “How do we create value from the IoT?”

Sam Ransbotham of Boston College’s Carroll School of Management has studied how businesses obtain value from the IoT. His conclusion: data sharing and analytics drive success and value creation.

On September 21, in a live, interactive Harvard Business Review webinar, Ransbotham will share insights on the keys to driving business value with the IoT. He will provide practical examples and case studies, including how a provider of laundry facilities management services (WASH), which serves 75,000 locations, creates tremendous value for customers, suppliers, and WASH itself. He will describe how IoT connections with customers and suppliers depend on the ability to share data.

To learn how best to create value with the Internet of Things, join Sam Ransbotham and HBR on September 21.
